A development structure certified according to the latest standard TS 16949 ensures that the constantly increasing requirements of the industry are met efficiently. Modern software tools are part of our decentralized and customer based product development, as are the tools used for the layout of logistics and assembly processes.
System Engineering offers an integrated project and system management which contains all project phases beginning with the concept study through to production design, testing, assembly, production planning up to the series delivery. A permanent project controlling function, checking technical and financial delivery against target agreements, is employed.
At ThyssenKrupp over 2000 development engineers are available for component design as well as approx. 300 engineers for system design and system integration. Both for CAD and CAE tasks all common software packages are used. Test rigs on which the simulation of driving tests is a common practice are available for component and system testing.
Efficient resource use is achieved by the grouping of engineers in competence centers.
