The processes of the logistics system must be adjustable on the current situation in shortest time, because of the individualization of the customer's wishes and the variety of products involved, as well as its provision, in order not to endanger the delivering readiness and with that the production at the vehicle manufacturer.

Flexibility means that even unforeseeable disturbances or changes must be processed by the logistics system. Logistics quality is on the one hand understood as high delivery reliability at short delivery times. On the other hand, logistics quality means the delivery of the components according to the agreements, i.e. the faultless product quality after storage, handling and transportation, as well as the completeness and correctness of the delivering information like order, product or manufacturer identification.
